Monkey puzzle red blue natural
These were the last pieces of the monkey puzzle tree from Normandy. Because they were the 'in-between' branches (so no knots) of the trunk I didn't turn them when they were still still wet.
All three were very dry and extremely difficult to to turn and to hollow as the wood crumbled. Quite fun to see the effect of the different dyes and wonderful depth of colour brought out by the lacquer.
